College Information

Eureka College of Canada is a dedicated organization that supports internationally educated nurses (IENs) as they transition into Canadian Nursing. We provide a mentorship program that focuses on helping IENs prepare for and successfully pass four nursing exams: CELBAN, NCAS, CPNRE / REXPN and, NCLEX-RN. Our goal is to bridge the gap between IEN's education and experience and the Canadian nursing system, and to help these individuals achieve their career goals in Canada.

Our organization is made up of a team of experienced nursing professionals, including registered nurses and educators, who are passionate about helping IENs succeed. We have a deep understanding of the challenges that IENs face when transitioning into Canadian nursing, and we work tirelessly to provide the guidance and support that these individuals need to succeed.

Archimedes John C. Sinlao

Founder, Owner

Archimedes has a strong educational background in the field of health and wellness as he completed Bachelor of Science, Major in Health Science. He is a passionate leader and a visionary who is deeply committed in providing quality education to students. His relentless pursuit of quality education steers the college to greater heights in delivering exceptional learning experience. Archimedes shares his mission with his wife as they both work together in creating an institution of higher education that offers a wide range of academic programs and certifications.

Marilee D. Sinlao

Co-owner, Director of Education

Marilee is a registered nurse with extensive years of nursing experience working in various hospitals in the lower mainland. She has more than a decade of teaching experience and has taught HCA and LPN students in various colleges in British Columbia. Marilee has been a Senior Educational Instructor and strongly advocates for internationally educated nurses (IENs) in supporting them to transition efficiently into Canadian Registered Nurses. She also completed her Instructor Development Program at the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC). She believes in empowering their students to become lifelong learners. Together with her husband, they aim to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters academic excellence.

Wilfredo Mendoza

IGA (NCAS)-RN Instructor

Wilfredo Mendoza is a Registered nurse (emergency unit) working at various health care authorities in the lower mainland with 17 years of experience. He shares our passion for teaching and understands that IENs journey is without challenges and frustrations. He is willing to make a difference in our community, making him an excellent addition to our team.

Jocelyn Baluyot

IGA (NCAS)-RN Instructor

Jocelyn Baluyot, a distinguished member of our team at Eureka College of Canada. As a seasoned nurse with a robust international background, including experiences in the Philippines, the UK, and Canada, Jocelyn epitomizes excellence in nursing. Currently serving as our NCAS-RN instructor, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a nuanced understanding of the Canadian nursing landscape. Jocelyn's commitment to nursing education is unparalleled. She guides aspiring nurses through the intricacies of the Canadian nursing system.

Ederlyn Lumabi

NCLEX-RN Instructor

Ederlyn Lumabi, our esteemed NCLEX-RN instructor, brings a distinguished background as the former Dean of the College of Nursing at De La Salle Health Sciences Institute. With a wealth of experience, she currently serves as a nurse educator and clinical service manager in Manitoba. Ederlyn's expertise is an invaluable asset to our team, aligning seamlessly with our mission of nursing education and clinical excellence. Her commitment to shaping the future of nursing aligns perfectly with our goals.

Nargiza Gilfan

CELBAN Instructor

Nargiza Gilfan graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences, English Major. She also completed TESOL certification with high honours at Greystone College of Business and Technology. She's also a TV host/curator in Vancouver television. She has been an ESL teacher for over a decade and has outstanding feedback from her students of all ages and backgrounds across the globe.

Thin Myat Win

CELBAN Instructor

Amreen has been working as an ELT (English Language Teaching) professional for about six years. She recently completed her Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Trinity Western University in Canada. Throughout her career, she has worked with a diverse range of students, helping them achieve their language learning goals. She believes in the power of communication and is dedicated to helping each student succeed.
